Hussain A. Al Qahtani serves as the Senior Vice President of Fuels for Saudi Aramco Downstream, a position he has held since January 1, 2024. Mr. Qahtani brings over 34 years of experience with Saudi Aramco, establishing a proven track record in managing complex investment projects, achieving strategic business targets, building strong partnerships with key stakeholders, and driving growth across the company’s extensive refining business.

Before his current role, Mr. Qahtani was the Representative Director and CEO of S-Oil Corporation in the Republic of Korea, following his tenure as President and CEO of the Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery Corporation (SASREF) from November 2016 to May 2019. As the Director of Saudi Aramco Domestic Joint Ventures Management from September 2015 to November 2016, he adeptly managed a broad portfolio of Saudi Aramco’s domestic refinery and petrochemical joint venture companies. This role came after leading Saudi Aramco’s Process Engineering & Control Systems function, where he was instrumental in developing high-quality process engineering solutions for the company’s refineries and petrochemical plants. 

In his capacity as Senior Vice President, Mr. Qahtani is a member of the boards of the Saudi Aramco Total Refining & Petrochemical Company (SATORP) in Jubail and Motiva Enterprises in Houston, Texas.

Mr. Qahtani holds a B.E. degree in Chemical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals and completed the Executive Leadership Program at the IMD Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland.
